Role Description

The role exists to provide support the nursery room leader and key workers in an important role caring for children and helping to maintain high quality, enabling environments. To assist in promoting effective learning, appropriate achievement and the educational, social and personal progress of all Early Years pupils, consistent with the aims of the school and unique needs of each individual.

This is a great opportunity for someone interested in a career in the Early Years to work towards a level 3 qualification which allows progression to becoming a qualified nursery worker. It involves supporting young children’s early learning and playing an integral role in providing play activities that enable them to explore and develop.

The individual appointed would be a part of a dynamic team with a wide range of opportunities and career development. We will want you to have an agile and ambitious mind-set that is open to adopting new techniques. Training and support is offered on a regular basis as part of formal and informal CPD and is focused on student learning.

Hours of Work
5 days a week, 52 weeks per year, one of these days is available for college attendance.

You will be working 37.5 hours per week (3 Full days either from 07:30-17:00 or 08:30-18:00, 1 full day at college and 3.5 hours on the 5th day), however, on occasions, you may be required to work 40 hours per week.

Salary guide: £4.65-£8.51 per hour.
