Devon Norse represents the strategic partnership between Devon County Council and Norse Group for the delivery of commercial services to a developing portfolio of local clients and businesses.

Devon Norse work with Berry Pomeroy Primary School in Totnes where we currently have a vacancy for a Caretaker on a part time permanent basis. This position requires you to work late afternoon shifts, operating between 15:00 PM - 18:00 PM, Monday - Thursday & 15:00 PM - 19:00 PM, Friday

Your Responsibilities :

  • General site maintenance, including cleaning and minor repair works 
  • Site access, accountable for securing the site in the evening 
  • Testing building systems, including lighting, heating and alarms 
  • Storing and managing equipment and products needed for the role

Your Experience:

We are ideally looking for someone who has relevant experience in a previous role, either as a caretaker, site supervisor or cleaner. We would be happy to provide training and support if you do not have experience, but will be looking for you to demonstrate; 

  • Ability to carry out a variety of minor repair works 
  • A basic understanding of health and safety 
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Capable of carrying out duties to contractual standard and supervisor instruction

All salaries for part-time positions are worked out pro-rata of the full-time equivalent salary shown in the advert, calculated on your contracted hours per week.
