Devon Norse represents the highly successful joint venture partnership between Norse Group and Devon County Council, providing a range of facilities management and contract services across the South West. We partner with a number of private and public sector clients across the region to deliver award winning services including cleaning, catering and caretaking.

We deliver catering services as part of our portfolio, supporting a growing number of local schools and businesses with food preparation and delivery throughout the day. We are currently looking for a Kitchen Manager at our partnership with Glendinning Academy in Newton Abbot.  

In this role you will be responsible for organising and managing the on-site delivery of our catering services, directing preparation, cooking, service and kitchen maintenance. Stock control and replenishment will need to be maintained, and you will ensure equipment in cleaning and stored properly.

You will support a small kitchen team who are looking to deliver a health and locally sourced menu choice and will support the area managers in the recruitment and training of new staff.

This role is a per time permanent position, working 09:00 AM - 14:00 PM, Monday - Friday

Our Successful Candidate;

We are looking for you to demonstrate experience within a commercial catering environment, whether this be from a service delivery or in-house position. Knowledge of menu costing and preparation would be an advantage; however, you will need to hold a qualification in food hygiene and be aware of health and safety guidelines within this environment.

Alongside this, we are looking for individuals who can work effectively as part of a team and have the ability to supervise and organise a kitchen environment. Your communication skills will be important as you engage with colleagues and clients, and you will be required to build good working relationships with all parties.
