Devon Norse are a successful commercial service partnership between Norse Group and Devon County Council, delivering expertise across cleaning, catering and facilities management disciplines.

We have a growing portfolio of local schools and business that we deliver a daily catering service to, and we are currently looking to recruit a Catering Assistant to work across the Mid Devon region, withing Tiverton and the surrounding areas.

The Role:

This is a varied position where you will provide support and cover to a number of local kitchen sites who deliver our locally sourced and nutritiously focused menu, taking responsibility for;

  • Food preparation alongside the cooking staff for meals
  • Service delivery within the dining centre
  • Kitchen cleaning and maintenance, including stock control
  • Maintaining customer service levels

Your Experience:

If you have previous experience working within a commercial kitchen, catering or dining environment this would be beneficial, however we are happy to provide training if this is something new to you.

We are looking for you to show your enthusiasm for the position through excellent customer service and team-working skills, demonstrated through good communication and the ability to adapt to different environment quickly.

As the position is mobile, you will need to hold a Full UK Driving Licence to be considered for the role.

Position Details:

  • Casual contract with flexible hours & days
  • Site support will be agreed in advance but will be local to you
  • Shift pattern may vary slightly with different site needs, but will be between 10:00 AM – 14:00 PM, Monday – Friday
