Norse Group are a multi-disciplined commercial service provider to a number of clients throughout the UK. One of our core disciplines within Norfolk & Suffolk is catering, and we partner with several schools, care homes and businesses across the region.

We have a successful service partnership with Horsford Primary School in Horsford, Norfolk, and are currently looking for a Cook Manager on-site. 

Our Cook Managers lead the service delivery of a small catering team, and you will be focused on ensuring meals prepared meet the required standard for quality and nutrition. We work hard to ensure our menus use locally sourced and fresh ingredients, and you will manage the cooking of fresh meals daily for the pupils, supported by a small kitchen team. 

You will need to build good relationships with colleagues and our clients, as you will need to monitor and identify opportunities to develop and improve the service delivery. 

Role Details:

  • Hours Per Week - 30
  • Shifts - 08:00 AM - 14:00 PM, Monday - Friday 
  • Contract - Permanent 
  • Employment - Part Time

Our Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience within a busy kitchen environment is required for the role, with your ability to take the lead on meal preparation and delivery. This will be combined with your ability and experience leading a busy kitchen team.

Your experience will be complemented by industry recognised qualifications, including Food Hygiene, Manual Handling and basic health and safety.

We are happy to provide on-going support and training if you are looking to develop and will expect you to be a point of contact on-site for our client. Your ability to communicate effectively will be important, as well as ensuring the agreed customer service level is maintained and developed.

All salaries for part-time positions are worked out pro-rata of the full-time equivalent salary shown in the advert, calculated on your contracted hours per week.
