Norse Catering are one of the biggest service disciplines of the Norse Group, providing an average of 25,000 meals to Norfolk and Suffolk school on a daily basis. We are continuing to grow and develop new client partners, with our service delivery built around local, sustainable and healthy produce.

Our catering team provide meal to Swanton Abbott Primary School, and we are currently looking to recruit a Catering Assistant

In this position, you will be responsible for supporting the on-site cook team to prepare and deliver meals from our locally sourced menu, as well as ensuring the kitchen environment is maintained. 

You will be working in a team dedicated to maintaining a high livel of customer service, challenging and imporving your client engagement skills.

The position is a part time, permanent role offering 12.5 hours per week, 11:30 AM - 14:00 PM, Monday - Friday.

The role will also require you to collect and deliver food locally on a daily basis, so you will need to hold a Full UK Driving Licence to be considered for the role (the delivery will compensated at a rate of £18 per day)

Your Experience:

  • Commercial catering or hospitality experience is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills, confident engaging with a range of individuals
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Capable of keeping to strict deadlines and quality standards
  • Any knowledge of kitchen health & safety would be advantageous

All salaries for part-time positions are worked out pro-rata of the full-time equivalent salary shown in the advert, calculated on your contracted hours per week.
