Daventry Norse, working in partnership with Daventry Council, is a highly successful contract services and frontline public service provider. We supply grounds maintenance, trade waste and street cleansing services to the public and private sectors and to residential clients in the Northamptonshire area.

Due to a large increase in the size and range of services we provide, we are looking to hire an Administrator to oversee some of this extra workload on a 3 month Fixed Term Contract. This highly important position will involve you supervising the day to day running of many of our exciting projects across Daventry, whislt reporting directly into the Operations Director. You will also be:

  • Managing the processes surrounding company vehicle repair and maintainence.
  • Attending critical meetings and maintaining the agendas and minutes of them.
  • Responding to emails from the public to answer their questions and to provide greater information regarding Daventry Norse.
  • Ordering and processing invoices.
  • Working on special projects within the division.
  • Working to improve the efficiency and productivity of the wider team by improving existing systems.

For this position you will need to a very good understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook and Excel. Our ideal candidate will also have:

  • GCSEs in English and Mathematics at grade A-C or equivilent.
  • A background in other similar administrative or office based roles where you collated information.
  • A good level of knowledge and previous experience with spreadsheets and databases.
  • An eye for detail and be someone who takes pride in their exceptional customer service skills.

This Fixed Term Contract positon is available on a part term basis which will involve you working 15 hours per week. These hours will be split across Monday to Wednesday, working from 09:00-14:00 each day. Whilst permanent employemnt after the contarct is not guarenteed, it is possible. If you impress and the workload continues to increase, then there could be a permanent position for you.
