Catering Assistant - Ellacombe Care Home

Norse Catering are one of the biggest service functions of Norse Group, delivering catering services to a growing number of schools, care homes and businesses across East Anglia.

Many of our closest partnerships are formed with care homes across the region such as Ellacombe Residential Care Home. Our continued support of the catering at this home means we require a Catering Assistant to join our fantastic on-site team. As an integral part of this team you will be responsible for the serving of food and interaction with residents. Alongside this, you will also:

  • Manage the cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and service areas
  • Assist the Cook in Charge with the preparation of food
  • Be responsible for stock check on safety and cleaning supplies
  • Provide excellent customer service to the residents and ensure that their meal times are friendly and enjoyable

In this part-time, permanent position you will be working 36 hours per week with every other week off. These hours will be split as follows:

  • Week 1: Monday 07:30-14:30, Wednesday 11:00-14:30. Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday 07:30-14:30.
  • Week 2: There are no shifts this week.

Whilst having previous commercial catering experience would be a real advantage to you, it is not a necessity. If you are a passionate home cook, we would love for you to apply.
