Norse Group are proud catering partners to a growing number of schools across Norfolk and Suffolk, utilising locally sourced and fresh produce to deliver a quality and nutritious service to pupils and staff. On average, we deliver 25,000 meals to Norfolk and Suffolk schools on a daily basis. 

We are continuing to grow and develop new client partners, with our service built around local, sustainable and healthy produce. We want you to apply for a position as a Catering Assistant at Elton Primary School in Elton, Cambridgeshire. You will have an active role in making a difference and making lunchtimes better for the students. You will be responsible for:

  • Preparing fruits, vegetables and salads when required
  • Use and care of equipment, including daily and weekly cleaning
  • Maintaining the cleanlieness and hygiene of kitchen premises
  • Preparation and cleaning of the Dining Room
  • Complying with Food Hygiene, Health and Safety and QA procedures

We want you to bring your experience and knowledge from a commercial catering background to the position or show us the passion you have for catering from the nutritious and delicious meals you cook at home for your family. We would also ideally see examples of your:

  • Knowledge of Health and Safety protocols
  • Dedication to healthy and local produce
  • High standards in customer care and service
  • Fantastic communication skills

This part-time, permanent position is available for 5 hours per week. The hours are Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30-13:00 allowing a great deal of flexibility.
