NPS Property Consultants represents the strategic partnership between NPS Group and Norfolk County Council, aimed at delivering exceptional services through property maintenance and consultancy. Whilst initially a dedicated public sector partner, NPS Property Consultants’ business portfolio has grown to incorporate a number of private sector clients across the East of England.

As a result of our continued growth and development we are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team based in Norwich. The team currently have a large portfolio of work which is only looking to increase as the scale of the NPS presence in the area grows. 

The Role:

Alongside preparing feasibility studies, preliminary estimates, cost plans, databases, tender and advising on the economics of design you will be expected to:

  • Provide advice on the use of whole life costing techniques.
  • Control all post contract procedures, make valuations for payments, producing financial reports and monitoring actual and anticipated expenditure against profile.
  • Assist in the project management of schemes, setting objectives, provide direction, control and advise on related matters including issuing progress reports and in post contract reviews.

Our Successful Candidate:

We want you to bring your own unique mix of experience and knowledge to the role and see how you can add to our team. Ideally, we are looking for:

  • Professional membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (Student or AssocRICS) and be looking to work towards Chartered status
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a related discipline
  • Holds a current site card or is prepared to immediately attain
  • Experience in a similar related role
  • Project Management experience on a range of building works of differing sizes and types
