Norse Cleaning Division have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent cleaner to work at Hethersett Academy.

We would like you to apply for the new position of Cleaner at Hethersett Academy, Norfolk. In this position you will be responsible for maintaining our high levels of customer satisfaction within this school.

The role

To carry out day to day cleaning duties of designated Areas as defined by the Cleaning Supervisor, ensuring that the necessary standards are met and operating in line with Client and Norse Policies and Procedures.


  • Carry out routine and non-routine (if applicable) cleaning duties in accordance with the cleaning specification and required standards.
  • Correct daily – signing in & out procedure.
  • Comply at all times with Health and Safety regulations and abide by the Health and Safety training provided.
  • Follow effective and safe use of cleaning equipment, chemicals and products as per the training received
  • Undertake specified training and development as required.
  • Demonstrate Norse values at all times.

Person Specification

  • Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements – Desirable
  • Level 2 Certificate in Cleaning and Support Services Skills – Desirable
  • Trained to industry recognised standard – Desirable
  • Able to work alone or as part of a team – Essential
  • Ability to accurately carry out verbal and written instruction - Essential
  • Ability to follow Health and Safety instructions - Essential
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal - Essential
  • High standard of customer service - Essential

 It will be your responsibility to ensure the site is a clean, safe and hygienic environment at all times. You will need to maintain the high standards of cleanliness in line with our training and regulations, working under the direction of the Area Cleaning Manager.

working 14:45 – 17:15 Monday & Friday and 15:45 - 18:15 Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, 12.5 Hours Per Week, term time only.
