A fantastic new opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join NPS Barnsley on a permanent basis. As a Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for the design, specification and project management of Mechanical services for all construction projects across a variety of building works.

Your role will be to undertake Mechanical Services including producing budget estimates, drawings, detailed service specifications, tender documentation and undertaking full contract administration duties on Mechanical led projects.

You will be required to promote continuous improvement and deliver demonstrable high quality products and services which embrace quality standards.

Our Successful Candidate will

  • Have professional membership of the Chartered Institute of Building Service Engineers or prepared to work towards Chartered status.
  • Experience in designing and utilising sustainable and low carbon technologies, such as biomass boiler plants and air/ground source heat pumps.
  • Hold Membership of the Engineering Council
  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in an Mechanical Engineering related discipline
  • Hold a current site card or is prepared to immediately attain.
  • Sound knowledge of building energy management systems including upgrading and installation/extension of these systems on new projects.
  • Driving Licence as frequent travel to sites.
