HBS strives to offer training and development opportunities in all of their core disciplines, and in line with this are looking to hire an Apprentice Civil Engineer into their team based in Exeter. Alongside the chance to work with industry experts and get hands-on experience, we will offer you the opportunity to undertake a Level 3 Civil Engineering Apprenticeship.

The Role:

As you develop, you will assist with a number of tasks within our teams, including;

  • Using relevant software, including AutoCAD 2D & 3D to assist with the design and delivery of civil engineering projects
  • Undertaking drainage design in accordance with Sustainable Urban Drainage systems (SuDS)
  • Assist with highways designs
  • Request and assess surveys, utilities and flood mapping information

Our Successful Candidate:

It is important for you to have a desire to learn and develop a career within Civil Engineering, coupled with;

  • Grade A – C (Level 5 or above) GCSE’s in English and Maths
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to analyse information and suggest solutions

If you have any of the following further experience, it would be an advantage;

  • Further relevant qualifications, including A-Level Maths, Physics, Geology or Material Science
  • Familiarity with design based software such as AutoCAD 2D or 3D

Process Details:

  • Closing date for submissions will be Friday 28th June 2019
  • Interview will occur in Mid-Late July 2019
  • We are looking for someone who can start Mid-August 2019
