As HBS continues to undertake new business ventures, there is a need to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor into the team based in Haywards Heath. In this role, it is important that you are enthusiastic and driven when delivering pieces of work, as our clients hold us to the high standard of our reputation. Your role will be delivering quantity surveying services across the full project life-cycle, working closely with the QS & PM Associate Director to provide solutions across a portfolio of projects ranging from £100k to £30m.

Working collaboratively is a crucial trait of our QS team, so your ability to communicate effectively with internal and external partners will be utilised and developed within this role. Alongside the opportunity to work on a range of building projects, you will be given ongoing support and training from both the team you are working with and relevant industry courses and qualifications associated with your role.

Although predominantly based at our office in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, the role will require travel to other offices and sites when needed.

Your will ideally have the following experience:

  • Demonstrable experience of working in a commercial Quantity Surveying environment
  • Existing Professional Membership of the RICS / CIOB, or the desire to achieve Chartered Status within the next few years
  • Familiarity with up to date Construction Design & Management (CDM) Regulations
  • Confidence when presenting solutions in front of internal and external parties
  • Aptitude for continued training and development, pursuing both business supported and independent learning opportunities
  • Currently hold a CSCS card, or be willing to attain one at short notice
