Due to expansion and Growth, award winning NPS Barnsley have an excellent career opportunity for an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor to join their division on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for providing professional, building surveying and maintenance consultancy related services and undertake projects in accordance with RICS Standards.

As a Building Surveyor you will have a variety of daily tasks such as - Site surveys in relation to condition / building surveying, prepare specification drawings and carry out risk assessments for improvement, refurbishment and new building schemes. Providing Technical and professional guidance to clients, colleagues and stakeholders.

You need excellent communication skills, coupled with an ability to form effective relationships with our clientele. We are looking for a Chartered Building Surveyor from a strong, varied construction backround as the teams works in a wide range of sectors including – Housing, Education, Commercial, Heritage/Conservation and Leisure.

Our Successful candidate must have or be able to demonstrate the following -

  • Professional Chartered membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a BS related discipline.
  • Hold a valid site card or prepared to immediately attain. 
  • Extensive Experience in a similar role and be able to provide suitable references. 
  • Proficient in the MS Office Suite. 
  • An in-depth knowledge of Building Regulations and related construction and surveying related legislations.
  • Experience Identifying successful New Business opportunities.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence.

*You will be required to carry out other appropriate duties to the Chartered nature of this post.

This is full-time permanent position in which you will be required to work Monday - Friday, 37 hpw. In return we are offering a competitive salary of -£35,000 to £48,000 DOE, 27 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays and excellent discounts and company benefits.
