Description

Norse Group is one of the UK’s most dynamic and fast-growing companies, combining property consultancy expert NPS Group and facilities management specialists Norse Commercial Services.

As Norse Group continues to seek out new business opportunities across the organisation, there is a need to recruit a Bid Writer into their successful NPS Sales Team, based at our Head Office in Norwich, Norfolk. The bid team forms an integral part of delivering new business ventures to the group, and as part of this team you will have the opportunity to influence this process by delivering creative and articulate content for a range of documentation.

As part of the bid team, you will be responsible for the preparation, creation and delivery of detailed and effective bids, tenders and proposals that reflect NPS Group values and client requirements. Alongside ensuring all bid documentation is clear and concise, you will be expected to utilise and include all relevant market knowledge and research that you have conducted to support the bid.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Working alongside a variety of different parties; including technical leads, senior stakeholders and clients, to produce effective and articulate bid documentation that meet the outlined requirements of all relevant parties
  • Take ownership of all technical response content throughout the duration of a bid, ensuring technical responses are both of high quality and substantiated by accurate information and research
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, offering a first point of contact for queries with clients as well as expert advice where required
  • Keep up to date with market trends and pricing strategies, using this information to challenge and influence cases where guidance is needed
  • Record all information regarding business opportunities, and priorities your workload to make sure all deadlines are met

 

Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar or related role, ideally working in a bid teams that has tendered for multi-million pound contracts
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a passion for writing and the confidence to interact with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritise your own workload effectively and meet strict deadlines with accurate and detailed documentation
  • Pro-active approach to conducting market research, and the ability to present findings in a clear and relevant way
  • Existing knowledge of business planning, commercial risk management and financial management, ideally in a public procurement process.
