We have a fantastic opportunity for an Architectural / Technical Assistant to join our London based team in our Tower Bridge offices. Our team are focused on delivering Architecture and Landscape Architecture projects, so ideally you will have experience working in a design, engineering, construction or architectural environment to meet the needs of the position.

As a Technical Assistant at HBS, you will work alongside and assist a team who provide design solutions across a range of clients, working predominantly within the education and housing sectors. Led by our Associate Architect, the dynamic and creative architecture team are responsible for much of the company’s award winning designs and projects.

Our Architectural Assistant will play a critical role within the team, and you will be responsible for; producing effectively branded documentation, proof reading design & specification packages, and amending technical reports. You will be introduced to and trained on a number of design based software systems to aid your role, so any previous exposure to Adobe Photoshop or Microsoft Publisher will be an advantage.

You will ideally have:

  • Commercial experience in a design, engineering, construction or architectural environment.
  • Excellent documentation skills, with the ability to produce branded brochures, leaflets and booklets as required.
  • An HNC/HND or equivalent in a related discipline is desirable.
  • Good numeracy and analytical skills with outstanding attention to detail.
  • Experience in a similar or related role, in particular a technically administrative position
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Microsoft Excel – Essential
  • Knowledge of using bespoke database systems would be an advantage
