Description

NPS Group are a National, Award-winning Property consultancy delivering high profile developments to a range of public and private sector clients across the UK.

Due to continued success, NPS Barnsley are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for ensuring commissions are completed to the appropriate standards, within budget and the fee provision whilst ensuring clients receive professional advice and an exceptional standard of service.

On a daily basis you will assist in the project management of schemes by setting objectives, providing direction and advice on related matters. You will need excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) as negotiating contract sums and preparing high quality tender documentation such as pricing/cost breakdowns and issuing progress reports is essential to the role.

Our Successful Candidate-

  • Must possess a minimum of 2 years post graduate experience within a construction consultancy environment and be able to provide suitable references.
  • Will be degree educated in a Construction related field.
  • Professional membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (Student or AssocRICS) and be working or prepared to work towards Chartered status is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of latest CDM Regulations.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Be confident in providing advice on the use of whole life costing techniques.
  • Holds a current site card or is prepared to immediately attain
  • Hold a Full UK Driving Licence – As frequent travel to sites is required.

This is a full-time permanent position and you will be contracted to work 37hpw. In return we are offering a salary of £26,000 - £37,000 DOE.
