NPS Leeds are a successful joint venture partnership with Leeds City Council, delivering a range of innovative projects across the local community as well as promoting value and sustainability for our clients. As a multi-disciplined property consultancy, we provide expertise across a range of professional functions, including engineering, design, and compliance.

Due to an increase in workload, we are currently looking to recruit a Fire Safety Engineer into our team to support the growing demand for specialist knowledge across our project pipeline.

This role will support our range of new build, refurbishment and maintenance projects by providing expert advice for fire strategies and risk assessments, being responsible for:

  • Undertaking detailed surveys and audits at sites to provide guidance on fire safety and compliance
  • Managing fire safety services installations, including the design of cost effective, efficient and complaint solutions
  • Providing subject matter expertise on project planning, risk mitigation and issue resolution across fire safety compliance

As a collaborative team and Group, this position will support a number of local and wider initiatives, giving you the opportunity to work with a range of professionals within multiple disciplines

Our Successful Candidate:

We are looking for you to demonstrate significant specialist fire safety knowledge, developed through relevant industry training and practical experience along with the following:

  • Professional membership of the Institute of Fire Engineers
  • Higher-level qualification within a relevant fire safety, fire engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience within a commercial fire safety role will be complemented by your knowledge of Microsoft Offices tools and AutoCAD
  • Experience delivering fire strategies and risk assessments
  • Diverse across project and maintenance environments

As a client facing role, you will need to have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, alongside the ability to produce accurate written documentation in the form of surveys and reports.
