About Kallidus

Kallidus is a leading software provider that helps our customers take their employees from initial hires to high-flyers with our award-winning suite of talent management software. Not only do we pride ourselves on helping our customers train and develop their employees, we make sure we enact that philosophy at Kallidus too. We’re a growing company that still has the feel of a smaller company, but we’re proud of being able to give the great benefits that come with continued investment into our employees and our products.

Role Overview

At Kallidus we build products that help our customers to get the most out of their most important asset, their people. Our software lets Human Resources (HR) people deliver training, monitor compliance, run performance reviews and develop talented people in their organisations.

We know there’s a massive opportunity to move beyond traditional enterprise software to a new paradigm where the systems that people use in their working lives provide the same, delightful experiences that people expect in their everyday digital lives. People no longer accept the uninspiring and difficult-to-use tools they’ve been provided with in the past. Times have changed.

At Kallidus, we’ve spent the last 4 years building a design team to bring this vision into reality. We’ve embedded a design-centred approach to our product development that’s already set us apart from our competition and delivered great results. This work has seen us work closely with our customers to gather great research and user testing insights.

We are now looking to grow the UX team and work more closely with our development teams, by having dedicated designers working within those cross-functional teams. The UX designer will work autonomously as the sole UX designer within that team, managing all research, UX design and testing activities. Alongside the development team and product manager, they will also work closely with a visual designer.

We take inspiration from Lean UX and are fostering a culture of experimentation where we take a ‘sense and respond’ approach, testing our designs and measuring the impact of what we release. We have also recently introduced design principles and are starting to build out a design system that will help us create consistent experiences across our products.

That’s where you come in. We’re looking for a thoughtful, empathetic and experienced UX designer to help us to carry on this work.

This is a great opportunity to make a real difference to a fast growing and ambitious company and shape the way the UX team matures. This role can be based in either our Bristol or Cirencester office, as well as remotely when needed. Some travel is required for conducting user research and testing sessions, and occasional team meetings in Cirencester.
