Description

We are looking for a Business Support Manager who has a strong operational and customer focused background to join the International Iceland Team. You will be a strong communicator who will take full responsibility for the day to day management of new and existing customer relationships around the world. You will be able to use your skills and experience to support, drive and challenge the performance of international customers whilst being proactive to create solutions in a fast paced and versatile market.

Purpose of Role \ Key Accountabilities

  • Identify and undertake projects which will challenge the norm and deliver commercial improvements within the International Business.
  • Develop strong internal relationships with UK teams to ensure the International business has adequate level of support and focus.
  • Ensure that day to day relationships with existing customers are being managed and operational issues are being addressed with realistic and sustainable solutions.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers and provide regular and ongoing communication, business support and guidance to develop the international brand and grow commercial performance across new and existing markets.
  • Have full accountability to achieve and exceed set sales targets and levels of customer service with an ambitious and can-do attitude as an ambassador for the Iceland brand.
  • Successfully launching new business opportunities and providing short, mid and long-term development plans as well as 1:2:1 support to develop and execute strategies for an on-brand and effective partnership.
  • Utilise being an industry expert to help review all processes and ensure they are as effective as possible, making recommendations, providing solutions, and taking accountability to change.
  • Have a well-structured and organised approach to work with and manage multiple stakeholders and projects in different time zones, languages, and cultures.
  • Carry out effective and strategic market research to identify and review business opportunities and subsequently provide recommendations and insight for the development in that market.
  • Provide a commercial review of weekly performance and a formal account of solutions and actions to each KPI to make recommendations and expectation setting in the progression of the financial year.

Qualifications/Knowledge/Experience/Technical Skills

  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Excellent communicator in all forms
  • Analytical and numbers driven
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • If you have a retail or export background this would be desirable.
  • Account Management, Client Relationship background,
  • Perhaps a recruitment background who is looking to move on from recruitment within FMCG/Supply Chain.
  • Has GRIT, determination and resilience.
  • Solution focused, and customer service focused.
