Salary: £18,592 - £18,933 per annum (£13,871 - £14,149 pro rata)

We are looking for a Learning Assistant to provide support with SEND students across the Academy.

The Role:

The ideal Learning Assistant will reinforce the excellent work of the teaching staff by supporting individuals or small groups both within and outside of the classroom environment as well as providing cover in the library when needed. You will be a professional role model to the pupils, with the confidence to challenge and the creativity to motivate. This role includes some pupil supervision duties.

To be successful you must have:

  • excellent communication skills,
  • the ability to provide support that is second to none,
  • experience of working in a school environment with special educational needs children would be advantageous,
  • first rate team working skills,
  • a professional approach and high personal standards,
  • a First Aid qualification or a willingness to undertake training

This role is suitable for both experienced professionals who wish to progress their career and candidates who want to begin their career in a learning rich environment.

About Us:

The Skegness Academy, part of the Greenwood Academies Trust, is located in the seaside town of Skegness on the beautiful Lincolnshire coast and is on a renewed journey towards ‘Outstanding’. It opened in 2010 and occupies a large site with extensive sports facilities, green space and new and refurbished buildings which give pupils and staff a high-quality learning environment.
