Salary: £18,562 - £18,933 per annum (£15,749 - £16,064 pro rata)

 The successful candidate starting as soon as possible

We are looking for a passionate Learning Assistant to join the Hazel Leys Academy to work in Early Years/KS1. This role will be initially on a fixed term basis until 16 July 2021 however may become permanent (Subject to EY Funding).

The role:

Working as part of a well qualified and excellent team you will reinforce the excellent work of the teaching staff by supporting individuals or small groups both within and outside of the classroom environment; this will include working with pupils who have specific learning needs. You will be a professional role model to the pupils, with the confidence to challenge and the creativity to motivate.

To be successful you must have:

  • excellent communication skills
  • the ability to provide support that is second to none
  • a desire to have a positive impact on learning outcomes
  • a professional approach and high personal standards

The following would be an advantage:

  • the ability to use tapestry and knowledge of early years profiles is desirable.
  • strong behavioural management skills would be desirable
