Salary: £8,006 per annum (£5,891 pro rata)

Working towards a Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship, under supervision you will support the provision of high quality learning support to all children in the Nursery setting. 

Main responsibilities (with support and under supervision):

  • Assist with planning, preparation and delivery of the curriculum to provide a stimulating and varied programme of play and learning opportunities
  • Preparing curriculum equipment and learning resources as directed
  • Ensuring the health and safety of all pupils at all times
  • To work as part of a team to ensure children are cared for in a happy, secure and stimulating environment
  • Build effective relationships with children to meet individual care and learning needs and establish effective partnerships with parents.

We are looking for someone with: 

  • excellent communication skills
  • the ability to form good working relationships within a professional environment
  • an understanding and awareness of the complex needs of the academy’s pupils
  • a hands – on and practical approach to work 

About Us:

This academy, part of the Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT), opened in 2013 as a new two form entry primary academy serving Oakley Vale in Corby and has grown year on year. In September 2017 we opened a 40 place nursery unit and have now reached the important milestone of having pupils in all year groups from Nursery to Year 6. We are a two form entry school with 60 children in each year group.
