£18,065 - £19,171 per annum (£12,984 - £13,779 pro rata)

We currently have an opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Learning Assistant to join the Woodvale Primary Academy on a fixed term basis until August 2020. There is a possibility this will be extended further beyond this date. 

The role:

We currently have a team of friendly and hardworking staff who strive to challenge and support pupils in order to achieve their potential from an early age all the way through their school career with us. We are seeking to appoint someone to work with a pupils, primarily in Early Years and Key Stage 1, both on a one to one basis and within small groups, under the direction of the class teacher. 

About you:

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • a range of behavior management methods and teaching skills;
  • have previous experience of working in a similar role;
  • possess excellent communication skills at all levels in order to be able to liaise effectively with parent/carers and outside agencies;
  • be able to build a relationship with pupils in order to support one to one working;
  • be well organised and have high expectations of achievement and behavior.

The Woodvale Primary Academy, part of the Greenwood Academies Trust is a vibrant and caring school located in Northampton. It has the capacity to cater for 460 pupils from Nursery to Year 6. Interviews to take place 26 February 2020 

This role is for 31.25 hours per week, 8:30am -15:45pm (Inc. 1 hour unpaid lunch), Monday to Friday, term time only (39 weeks); this is reflected in the pro rata salary.
