Description

We are looking to offer the chance for an experienced Finance professional to join our finance team based at the City of Peterborough Academy. 

The role:

The Senior Finance Officer will supervise a small team to provide finance support to a number of academies in the Greenwood Academies Trust. They will be responsible for overseeing the day to day financial and accounting processes across these sites.

Alongside the opportunity to oversee the finance team and their responsibilities, the Senior Finance Officer is also responsible for managing the monthly close process, ensuring compliance with Trust policies, procedures and regulations, and support the Central Finance Team when required.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is AAT qualified or equivalent, or qualified by experience
  • Has experience of working in Finance or in an accounting function and of working with Finance systems
  • Has a good understanding of financial control and be a competent Microsoft Office user

Experience within the Education Sector is desirable.

Greenwood Academies Trust is a ‘not for profit’ organisation that was formed in 2009 and provides support services for finance, ICT, procurement, human resources, catering, data, curriculum development, staff development, health and safety and extended opportunities to all academies within the Trust.
