We are looking for a Learning Assistant, on a fixed term basis for a year, to support our pupils in the classroom.

About us:

The academy, part of the Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT), is located in Skegness, Lincolnshire. We are new and expanding academy with currently 150 pupils on roll, growing to a maximum of 210 in the final year of its growth.

This is a very exciting opportunity to be part of a forward thinking and creative team. Having opened as a brand new academy in September 2014 our approach is fresh and dynamic, with every staff member being fantastically talented and committed to meet the needs of every pupil. Would you like to be part of this exciting journey as we continue to expand?

The recent Ofsted inspection in November 2016 gave an overall ‘good’ grading with two areas being ‘outstanding’, after being open for just two years.

‘Leaders have secured a culture of care and challenge which brings out the best in each pupil. The school’s warm and welcoming environment immediately captures the imagination of pupils and adults alike.’

The role:

Working under the direction of the Class Teacher, you will promote development and learning, and will help to ensure full participation. This position will include working with small groups and on a one to one basis.

You will need to have experience in Early Years with KS1 and KS2 experience being beneficial along with experience in leading group work.

This role is for 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only (39 weeks); working pattern to be discussed at interview.

In Return:

Working for GAT, means you can be assured that you will be contributing to our mission to enable every child to achieve their best.  All our unique academies work collaboratively to share best practice and are supported by the expertise within the central team to enable them to focus on teaching and learning.  As a GAT employee you will receive excellent opportunities for career progression and access to bespoke CPD from the Greenwood Learning Alliance to enhance your professional growth.
