£19,554 - £21,166 per annum (£17,493- £18,935 pro rata)

The Nottingham Academy is currently recruiting for a Science Technician to join their team. 

About us:

The Nottingham Academy is a multi-site academy with new and refurbished buildings, offering pupils and staff an outstanding learning environment. Each site is led by a Principal in conjunction with the Lead Principal, Ged Rae. It feels calm and orderly and has an atmosphere focused on learning.

The role:

Duties will include the preparation and maintenance of equipment and materials required for demonstrations and practical experiments. You will also be responsible for administering stock control, ordering procedures and assisting students and staff in the classroom, ensuring that health and safety regulations are met. You must be able to prepare and support lessons from KS3 through to KS5.

With a background in science, you will have high professional standards and a methodical and organised approach. Knowledge of current health and safety legislation and the possession of related certificates/qualifications would be an advantage.

You will be required to work 37 hours per week, term time only (41 weeks), this is reflected in the pro-rata’d salary.
