Early Years Foundation Stage Leader

Purple Oaks Academy (Northampton)

This vacancy is now closed

Are you an outstanding classroom practitioner looking for a lead role in a special school?

About the role and you:

For January 2020, we are looking for an experienced Early Years Foundation Stage Class Teacher to lead our Early Years Foundation stage and develop excellent practice both inside and outside the classroom, while maintaining the structure and routine that our learners need.

This role would be perfect for someone with a passion for, and experience in, the EYFS setting who wants to progress their career in a learning rich environment; applicants from both from mainstream and special settings are welcomed.

About us:

Our purpose built building opened in January 2018 and will provide 100 places for students (3-18) with a diagnosis of autism and/or Severe Learning Difficulties. The academy currently has 61 students and will grow each year until it reaches full capacity. You can find out more about us here: https://www.purpleoaksacademy.org/

In return:

You will join a team of committed staff who are dedicated to ensuring students are prepared for the years beyond education and are supported to pursue their dreams.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who wishes to work in a unique environment. The role will expose you to challenging situations involving students with significant special educational needs; therefore experience of working with children with autism would be advantageous. The Trust also value continuing professional development, giving you access to a variety of learning opportunities including training courses via the Learning Alliance and opportunities for sharing best practice. You can find more information about our Learning Alliance via the Greenwood Academies Trust website.

This role offers the opportunity for a great work-life balance.

Visits to the academy are warmly welcomed and encouraged, please contact Tina Matty on 01604 434471 (ext. 8402) or email tmatty@purpleoaksacademy.org to arrange a visit.

Observation within current setting will form part of the interview process. Interviews are provisionally set to take place 03 October 2019.

If this post attracts sufficient interest before the closing date, we may decide to close this vacancy at an earlier date, so an early application is advised.
