In collaboration with Nottingham City LA, we are developing a purpose-built provision for 48 pupils with a diagnosis of ASD. 

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team developing this new provision. 

Initially a group of KS1 pupils will be taught in existing accommodation. A new build will be in place for September 2020 as the numbers increase. 

Nethergate Academy is a special academy in the City of Nottingham for 120 pupils with moderate and complex learning difficulties. The age range is from 5-19 years with a range of ability extending from P6 – L6. Many pupils have autism and some have SEMH needs. 

You will be required to help with the organising and running of groups in the new ASD provision and also cover classes in the absence of the Class Teacher; including unplanned absence and/or planned absence due to the allocation of PPA time.

This role is for 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday and is required in term time plus two weeks; therefore this is reflected in the pro rata salary.
