We are seeking to appoint a committed and talented Cover Supervisor to work at the Weston Favell Academy.

The successful post holder will be required to cover classes in the absence of the teacher, including unplanned absence and/or planned absence due to the allocation of PPA time.  They will work alongside teachers to plan and teach exciting and engaging learning opportunities. 

You will be able to demonstrate a range of teaching and behavioural management techniques, which facilitate a learning experience that provides pupils with the opportunity to achieve high standards. 

To be successful you will possess: 

  • a graduate degree with an interest in the teaching profession
  • excellent communication skills at all levels
  • the ability to engage constructively with, and relate to, a wide range of young people from different backgrounds
  • the ability to work effectively as part of a team. 

The academy, which is part of the Greenwood Academies Trust, has made substantial improvements in achievement, teaching, behaviour and leadership.  The Academy has a very supportive team, committed to promoting high achievement in education. As this role is only required to work in term time only, it also offers the opportunity for a great work-life balance.
