Requirements:
· Experience of working in a consultancy environment
· Pre & post contract services experience
· Knowledge of the commercial fit-out industry
· MRICS preferred
· Proven stakeholder management skills and experience
· Proven track record of building strong client relationships
· Excellent Communicator and interpersonal skills
· Be focused on the continuous improvement or cost management within AY and with our clients
· Strong IT and excel skills
Responsibilities:
· Support the bid development process for new work
· Be the single point of contact for cost management with our clients.
· Develop the EMEA Projects cost management business and processes
· Time management across several projects
· Be able to work cleverly to develop project budgets (initial order of magnitude) in different geographies without good and current cost data. Identify several data points to ensure a high level of budget accuracy when a project is initiated.
· Understand the Cost Manager’s role in continuingly updating the budget during design.
· Lead value engineering incentives
· Develop pre-tender estimates
· Manage the adjudication of tender returns. Report writing and recommendation
· Have experience with a number of construction contract forms. Be confident enough to lead the contracting process with the General Contractor. Provide advice to the Project Manager and client.
· Manage the payment evaluation process through-out construction
· Write monthly cost reports on projects
· Update costs on projects weekly (minimum)
· Manage the final account process with the general contractor
· Provide guidance, leadership and expertise to team members.
