Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced restaurant front of house manager to join our thriving busy staff and customer restaurant. The main purpose of the position is to supervise the performance of restaurant team, ensuring they provide a high level of service to customers, to take ownership of the restaurants P&L and advise the head chef on what sells well.

 

Duties to include:

  • To demonstrate leadership and build a team within the diner which will meet or exceed targets and objectives.
  • Identify and implement coaching and training opportunities to improve individual and team performances.
  • Assist with holding team briefings to communicate trading information, training initiatives, and business development opportunities and ideas.
  • To prepare rotas to meet business needs and ensure that staffing levels and cost are kept within budget.
  • Handle paperwork and other administrative duties
  • To serve customers both on counter and till in a polite and friendly
  • Operating the till – taking cash and card payments and giving correct
  • Ensure the diner is kept clean and tidy through good housekeeping and safe working practices in line with the Company Health and Safety policy.
  • Maintain the required standards of display layout and displays in the diner.
  • To ensure all display stands are fully stocked daily, ensuring stock control is adhered to and making sure out of date products is disposed of in the correct
  • Efficiently manage stock in accordance with Company Procedures.
  • Ensure that deliveries are checked and documented upon receipt. Checking for the correct quality and quantity.
  • Responsible for managing and organising the stock room
  • Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues and expenses
  • Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it
  • Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction

Person Specification

  • Experience within a similar role
  • Financial Reporting experience
  • Strong command of the English language
  • Basic food knowledge
  • Good team worker
  • Must display strong Leadership and Management skills
